Keying Images
A separate matte (alpha) file should be provided with any image that is to be superimposed on screen. Imbedded mattes are preferable.
Definitions
Raster size:
The full television frame. All four sides of this frame are cropped slightly by most all televisions and will not be seen. Even though this cropping occurs, the frame must be filled.
Safe Action:
This is the cropped frame that appears on most televisions. All pertinent "action" should fall within this size. Safe Action falls within the raster size.
Safe Title:
All on-screen text must fall in this size in order to read on all televisions. Safe Action falls within the raster size and safe action.
